And Jumhooree Party has said that they are not taking any part in it and their members are taking part as individual citizens.

“Jumhooree Party said that the demonstrations are not being organized by a specific party. The Party’s leadership told us that Jumhooree Party is not taking part it officially. The party noted that even if their higher officials do take part in it, they are taking part as individuals.” Naveen said.

Naveen said that the Police wants to which political party is organizing the ongoing protests or demonstrations in Male’. He said that it was to get in contact and discuss and advise on security issues and other issues with the organizers.
