Contracts signed for establishment of waste management centres in four islands

Ministry of Environment and Energy has signed contracts with ISF Construction Private Limited and Brotherhood Construction Private Limited, for the establishment of waste management centres in Shaviyani Goidhoo, Shaviyani Maaungoodhoo, Gaafu Alifu Gemanafushi, and Gaafu Dhaalu Madaveli.

The agreements were signed on behalf of the government by Minister of Environment and Energy, Thorig Ibrahim, at a ceremony held at the ministry today, Wednesday, 08 April 2015.

The expected date of completion for the MVR 682,811 project in Goidhoo, to be carried out by ISF Construction, is 8 August 2015.

The MVR 691,416 and MVR 706,682 projects in Maaungoodhoo and Madaveli, respectively, to be undertaken by the same company, also should be completed by the same date.

The cost of the project in Gemanafushi is MVR 728,955. It will be carried out by Brotherhood Construction, and completed by 8 August 2015.
