The 16-year-old girl involved in an accident in Hithadhoo, Addu City, will arrive in Malé for further treatment today, Hithadhoo Regional Hospital has said.
Public Relations Officer of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital Ali Moosa told Sun Online that out of the three victims, only the girl remains in hospital and her condition has improved.
She will be taken to Malé for CT scans and other tests, said Ali Moosa.
The 16-year-old boy who sustained serious injuries in the accident, Mohamed Ayad, 16, Seyva, Hithadhoo, died early Wednesday morning while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.
The accident took place when two motorcycles collided on Link Road, Hithadhoo, Addu City.
One motorcycle was carrying two 16-year-olds, while the other was driven by an 18-year old.
Both motorcycles were totalled in the accident.
