Nazim brought back home since the treatment is not complete

The former Minister of Defense, Colonel-retired Mohamed Nazim who was in police custody charged with importing and possession of a firearm has been brought back home after being taken to the hospital for treatment.

After being brought to his wife’s residence from the police custody last night, the former defense minister was taken to Medica Hospital after 22 hours.

A member of Nazim’s family told Sun Media today that the police took Nazim around 6:25 p.m. but not sure where he was taken.

The Police Information Officer, Inspector Ismail Ali said that Nazim was taken to the hospital and has been taken back to his home. He said that Nazim was brought back to home because his treatment in Male’ was not complete yet.

Nazim was brought back to his residence after 33 days in police custody. The former minister of defense was arrested conspiracy after a handgun was found in his home on the 10 February.
