Three people have been injured in a serious accident in Malé on Tuesday night.
The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the accident took place at the intersection of Chaandhanee Magu and Kurikeela Magu at around 2:45 a.m.
Police said that the victims, two girls and one man, are receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
An eyewitness told Sun Online that one of the girls suffered serious injuries, including a head wound; while the other girl sustained injuries to her arm.
It took a long time to hail a car, and it took about ten minutes before they arrived at the hospital, the eyewitness told Sun Online.
He added that the glass shop-front of a nearby shop was broken in the accident.
The family of the man involved in the accident said that he suffered injuries to his left eye and forehead.
Further details of the victims’ injuries could not be obtained as IGMH was unavailable for a comment at the time of publication.
