Two people arrested in connection to the murder of Jailam

Two people have been arrested in connection to the murder of Jailam Ahmed Shakir (H. Hundredflowers) who was murdered on the road in front of Dharubaaruge on 21 February.

Police confirmed that the two people arrested this evening were two Maldivian boys of age 22 and 19.

Jailam’s case is being investigated by a special task force of the Serious and Organized Crime department of the police to hasten such cases.

The 23-year-old had multiple wounds all over his body with the deepest wound on the right side of his neck severing the blood vessels to the brain. ADK hospital confirmed he was dead on arrival.
