Nazim to be detained until trial ends

Criminal Court has issued an order to keep former Defense Minister Mohamed Nazim in detention until the end of the trial.

It has been decided at a hearing held to extend Nazim’s remand period.

Lawyer of Nazim, Maumoon Hameed, after the hearing held to extend the remand period said that they have decided to appeal that order.

Nazim has been charged with reference to Article 2 (b) and under Article 13 (a) of the Import Prohibition Act.
