Adhaalath has called for the release of former Defense Minister Colonel retired Mohamed Nazim, who was arrested for possession of a firearm.
Police said that they found a pistol, a magazine, and three bullets from the search conducted at Nazim’s room in his wife’s house on 17 January 2015 at 3:15 a.m. Police also claimed to have found an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
Nazim was arrested on 10 February 2015 on the charge and the Criminal Court has added 15 days to hold him in custody.
Adhaalath Party’s press release calling to release Nazim says that the charges against him and his wife are questionable to anyone with a sound mind.
The press release calls for Nazim’s release and to protect the constitutional rights of his wife.
