Dr Shainee appointed Acting Minister of Health

Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr Mohamed Shainee has been appointed as Acting Minister of Health.

This has been confirmed to Sun Online by Dr Shainee.

This comes after Mohamed Nazim, who held the post of Acting Minister of Health, was dismissed yesterday.

The post of Health Minister has been vacant since Dr Maryam Shakeela was removed by the parliament through a no-confidence in August 2014.
