Energy Audit Training program begins

The Ministry of Environment and Energy, in collaboration with Energy and German International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the German government, has commenced an Energy Audit Training program in the Maldives.

The program was inaugurated this morning by Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Environment and Energy Ajwad Musthafa, and will be conducted at SHE building from 20 to 22 January.

It will be conducted by resource persons from GIZ, under the project for Support for Climate neutrality Strategy of the Maldives.

According to Environment Ministry, the first and last day of the training program consists of theoretical sessions, while on the second day participants will be visiting Paradise Island Resort to conduct a practical energy audit.

The major topics covered in the training program are general procedure of energy audits and energy efficiency potentials, said the Ministry.
