Minister Nazim: I still stand with the President and country

Defense Minister Mohamed Nazim has thanked his well-wishers for their support during challenging times and has given assurance to stand with the president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom and country.

Minister Nazim has thanked for the support for him and his family given by his well-wishers in a tweet he posted on Sunday following his apartment having searched by the police.

I thank my well wishers 4 the support during these challenging times 4 me & my family. I assure that I stand with the president & country!

Another tweet posted by Minister Nazim on Sunday evening said that he was not fazed by the incident and he is still serving confidently with the responsibilities assigned by the President Yameen. Police have broken the door and entered the apartment of Minister Nazim at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and have left the premises at around 6:00 a.m. with several documents.

Spokesperson of President has said to Sun Online that government is not involved in the search conducted by Police and that government has no problem with Minister Nazim.
