Fulidhoo Blue Star wins first place from MBC Cultural Festival

Vaavu Fulidhoo Blue Star has won the first place of the Cultural Festival organized by Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).

Defense Minister Mohamed Nazim on Staurday afternoon at Sultan Park handed over the prize of MVR 100,000 to the team who won the first place of the Festival in which a total of nine teams participated from six atolls.

While Vaavu Fulidhoo Blue Star has won the first place, Meemu Kolhufushi Youth Association Lan’giri Group has got the second place and Felidhoo Youth Team has got the third place from the Cultural Festival.

The judges have also selected five teams with best presentations of the Festival conducted from last Thursday onwards. Five teams with best presentations were Vaavu Fulidhoo Blue Star, Meemu Kolhufushi Youth Association Lan’giri Group, Felidhoo Youth Team, Kelaa Youth Forum and Meemu Naalaafushi Lan’giri Group.

Home Minister Umar Naseer, after the inauguration of the Cultural Festival on Thursday has announced that a grand Cultural Festival would be organized for the celebration of 50 years of independence of Maldives.
