Individual arrested with drugs in Hulhumale

A Maldivian has been arrested with drugs from Hulhumalle’.

Police Media Official said to Sun Online that a 25 year old man was arrested from Hulhumale’ on Wednesday.

Police have seized drugs and alcohol from a room of Hulhumale’ Flat Number 131-1-01 at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in an operation conducted after receiving information on handling and dealing of drugs.

57 cellophane pieces and 14 small plastic containers containing a substance suspected to be drugs, three empty bottles of alcohol, equipment believed to be used for packing drugs, and money were discovered by the police from the room where the man was arrested, said Police Media Official.

Police said that the case was under investigation by its Drug Enforcement Department.
