Hajj Corporation charges MVR39,965 for Umrah Pilgrimage

Hajj Corporation has decided to charge MVR 39,965 from each pilgrim for the Umrah trip during Ramadan this year.

Hajj Corporation has on Sunday said that registration and payment for participation in the Umrah Pilgrimage during the month of Ramadan this year is opened from 5 January to 5 February 2015.

Hajj Corporation has charged MVR 34,850 from each Umrah pilgrim in 2014.

Official from Hajj Corporation has said to Sun Online that the amount charged for Umrah trip can vary from year to year and a specific amount has not been decided.

Hajj Corporation has said that the amount can be paid in installments and that the total payment must be cleared by 30 April 2015.
