The Police have published personal information of five people who have been suspected of murdering Abdul Muheeth last February, near the Ministry of Finance. Investigations are complete, and the case has been sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office for prosecution.
The case was sent to the PG Office last Tuesday.
Abdul Muheeth was murdered with a sharp weapon on the 19th of February this year. According to the investigations of the police, this murder was committed by Muhjath Ahmed Naasih, 18, Ablagheege, G.Dh. Gadhdhoo, Ali Mushaffau, 20, Sultan Villa, S. Maradhoo, Mohamed Maimoon, 19, Zaithoonige, Lh. Naifaru, and two others who are legally “children”, as they are under 18.
The Police had previously reported that all those who were arrested in relation to the murder of Muheeth were found to have criminal records.
Abdul Muheeth was found near the Ministry of Finance building at Ameeny Magu, and he was stabbed in nine places all over his body. He passed away while under treatment at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, hours later.
