US Assistant Secretary of State meets with Foreign Minister

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon.

The US Department of State said in a press release, that during her first visit to the Maldives, Assistant Secretary Biswal will also meet with President Abdulla Yameen, Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim, other government and political leaders including a group of women parliamentarians and officials, and civil society leaders.

Following her visit to the Maldives, Assistant Secretary Biswal will travel to New Delhi, India to meet with Indian government officials to discuss the full range of bilateral and regional issues, reads the press release.
