Japan donates medical equipment worth MVR 25 million

The government of Japan has donated medical equipment worth JPY 200 million (MVR 25.94 million), under its Non-project Grant Aid program.

The donation was presented at a ceremony at the Ministry of Health today, by the Chief of Japan International Cooperation System (JICS), and accepted by Minister of Health Mohamed Nazim.

At the ceremony, the Health Ministry also presented a certificate in appreciation of Japan’s generous aid to the Maldives.

Japan also provided equipment worth JPY 59.7 million to the Maldives under the same program in 2012.
