MILAN (AP) — The Serie A matches which were postponed last weekend following the death of Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini will now be played on April 24-25.
All matches were called off as a mark of respect for the 25-year-old Morosini, who collapsed and died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a Serie B match at Pescara on Saturday.
The Italian Football League and presidents of Serie A clubs met at an extraordinary board meeting on Monday and decided to play the 33rd round next week. That means the 34th round will go ahead as scheduled this weekend.
