Twenty elderly people register to receive treatment at home

The Ministry of Law and Gender has received twenty registration forms for the service of treatment at home for people above the age of 65, introduced last month.

Director at Ministry of Law and Gender Hafeeza Ali told Sun Online today that the ministry will conduct assessments to determine the type of services required by the twenty people who have submitted the registration forms.

She said that in addition to visiting nurses, the ministry will also provide information to those who are confined to their homes due old age.

Hafeeza said that individual requirements, such as monthly blood tests, can be indicated in the registration form.

The ministry said earlier that the purpose of this service is to provide treatment to elderly persons who are bedridden or confined to their homes, and therefore unable to visit hospitals or healthcare centres.

Registration for the service was opened on 14 October.
