Girl rescued from suicide attempt in Male'

A 20-year-old girl who attempted suicide from the fourth floor of a guest-house in Male’ after a fight with her boyfriend has been rescued.

The police spokesperson told Sun Online that the incident took place at around 5:00 p.m. at a guest-house behind Olympus.

He said that police and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) officers were involved in the rescue operation, and that the girl was rescued after conversations with her boyfriend.
