Two speedboats collide in dangerous accident near Enboodhoo reef

Two speedboats have been involved in a dangerous accident near Enboodhoo reef in Male’ atoll on Sunday night.

The police spokesperson said that a Marine Police speedboat was deployed to the scene as soon as the accident was reported at around 12:15 a.m.

The injured victims have been transported to Male’ in another speedboat, and are receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), said the police.

Police further said that the two boats involved in the accident are Sirius 10 and Kanduma Silva. Both boats were damaged and Sirius 10 sank following the accident.
