HDC provides land in Hulhumale' for construction of boarding school

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has provided a plot of land in Hulhumale' to Ministry of Education, to construct a boarding school.

The agreement in this regard was signed at an event held at HDC on Wednesday, by Deputy Managing Director of HDC Mohamed Shahid, and Director of Ministry of Education Abdulla Ibrahim.

According to the agreement, the construction of the boarding school building must be completed within two years from the signing of the agreement.

Ministry of Education has decided to give the land to Biz Atoll Private Limited, the Turkish company that presently manages Lale Youth International School at Hulhumale’ to build and manage the boarding school. Also, the building at which Lale Youth International School is operated currently would be handed over to the government.

An agreement regarding the boarding school was also signed between the Ministry of Education and Biz Atoll Private Limited at the beginning of October 2014. According to this agreement, Biz Atoll Private Limited will manage the boarding school for duration of 25 years.
