Two foreigners have been injured in a fire on a boat at Vilimale’ harbour.
An eyewitness told Sun Online that the vessel, most likely one carrying oil, caught fire at around 4:15 p.m., and that the two people who were injured are undergoing treatment at Vilimale’ Health Centre.
The police spokesperson said that the two victims are foreigners, and that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
The eyewitness told Sun Online that the fire has been extinguished by Maldives National Defence (MNDF).
