STO opens pharmacy in Gaadhiffushi

The State Trading Organisation (STO) has opened a pharmacy in Thaa Gaadhiffushi, under the program in collaboration with the government to open pharmacies covered by the Aasandha health insurance scheme in every inhabited island across the country.

With the new establishment, the number of STO pharmacies has reached 33.

STO thanked local councils and islanders for their support and cooperation with the efforts to establish pharmacies.

Managing Director of STO Adam Azim said that STO’s aim is to make health services covered by Aasandha accessible to all Maldivians.

STO has assured that the project to open pharmacies in every inhabited island will be completed within two years.
