Ministry of Health has decided sign a contract with a joint venture that is part owned by a Maldivian company, to construct the multi-specialty hospital in Hulhumale’.
Minister of State for Health Hussain Rasheed told Sun today that the ministry has decided to award this project to Tree Top Investments, which had expressed interest in this project. He added that the agreement for this project will be signed in October.
He also said that Tree Top Investments is a joint venture between Champa Brothers, Crown Company, Kuredu Maldives, and Kasa Holdings, which includes both Maldivian and foreign shareholders.
“Currently, HDC is working on finalizing the agreement and the details on the design. The contract will be signed next month,” Hussein said.
Proposals have been received for this project, which will see the construction of an international-standard multi-specialty hospital in Hulhumale’, from a Malaysian company, a German company, two Indian companies, and a joint venture consisting local companies.
The project was awarded to Tree Top Investments after evaluations revealed that they had presented the best proposal, the ministry had said.
