Maldives Gas launches

Maldives Gas has launched a non-explosive, light-weight, and elegant gas cylinder, ‘Lui Fulhi’.

The new gas cylinder was inaugurated at a ceremony at Raalhugandu area on Monday evening, by Managing Director of State Trading Organisation (STO) Adam Azim and Managing Director of Maldives Gas Abdulla Maumoon.

With a weight of just 5 kg, this new gas cylinder is considerably lighter than the ones used in Maldives until now, which weigh up to 12 kg.

The gas cylinder, a quality product of Norway, is also transparent and non-corrosive.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abdulla Maumoon said that the new gas cylinder was introduced after discussions with STO and President Yameen, who encourages the import of modern-technology products.

Azim, speaking at the ceremony, urged Maldivians increase the use of products that carry latest technologies.

Earlier, Maldives Gas conducted a fire and safety test for this new gas cylinder, under the direct supervision of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

Maldives Gas has invited registration for purchase of ‘Lui Fulhi’. A new cylinder is priced at MVR 1999, and a refill at MVR 225.
