Five arrested over attack on police officer

Five people have been arrested in Gaafu Alifu Kanduhulhudhoo, on suspicion of attacking a police officer.

Police said that the incident took place soon after midnight last night, and the suspects are men aged 18, 19, 25, 27, and 29.

The police officer was bleeding after being punched in the face during the assault, and was treated at Kanduhulhudhoo Health Centre.

Sources have told Sun Online that the suspects include the son of a judge of the Kanduhulhudhoo Magistrate Court.

All suspects were arrested under a court warrant today.

The case is under investigation by Gaafu Alifu Vilingili Police Station.
