Agreement signed for renovation of Fares-Maathoda Health Centre

The government has signed an agreement with a local company, for the renovation of the Health Centre in Gaafu Dhaalu Fares-Maathoda.

The agreement for the MVR 356,914 project was signed on behalf of the government by Acting Minister of Health, Minister of Defence Mohamed Nazim, at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Health yesterday. The ceremony was also attended by Fares-Maathoda MP Mohamed Latheef.

The project includes the repair of the portico and the electrical system, and the replacement of the doors at the Health Centre.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nazim requested the contractor to complete the project by the deadline stated in the agreement. He also urged the Member of Parliament to work towards facilitating the support necessary for the project, form the people of the island.

The agreement signed yesterday states that the project must be completed within 50 days.
