Parliament accepts Extradition Bill

The Extradition Bill, proposed by Thimarafushi MP Mohamed Mustafa, has been accepted by the parliament.

The bill was accepted with 74 votes in favour, and 15 MPs spoke during plenary debate time.

The First Reading of the bill was held on 13 August 2014, at the 23rd sitting of the second session of the parliament.
