Three councillors elected seven months ago, take their oath

Three councillors who were elected to Gaafu Alifu Kondey Council at the Local Council Election held on 18 January 2014, have taken their oath on Thursday.

The three councillors are independent members Murthala Saleem and Ahmed Ibrahim, and Adhaalath Party member Siyam Mohamed.

The oath was administered by Magistrate of Gaafu Alifu Vilingili Court Azeem Hassan, at a ceremony held at Kondey School Hall on Thursday afternoon.

Their oath taking was delayed due to a case contested in court.
