Dr Ad'ham appointed as MD of MTCC

Dr Ahmed Ad'ham Abdullah of H. Fairy Palace has been appointed as the Managing Director of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

Former Assistant Director of Ministry of Transport Dr Ad'ham Abdulla accepted the post on 4 April. He holds PHD in Maritime Law from an Australian University, and is also educated in Port Management and Business Administration.

MTCC profit fell to Rf 9.7 million in the most recent quarter, from Rf 19.8 million in the previous quarter.

Three members were removed from MTCC board before Dr Ad'ham Abdulla assumed the post of MD. They are former MD Hussain Amru, Chairman Hussain Hilmy and board member Abbas Mohamed. The government is working on setting up boards of public companies.
