Man sentenced to 2 years in prison for stealing laptop

Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo Magistrate Court has sentenced Farhan Yousuf, 22 years old, to 2 years and 2 months in prison for stealing a laptop in late January this year.

The case was filed with the Prosecutor General’s Office on 6 April, and Farhan Yousuf was indicted in June.

Farhan Yousuf was convicted of stealing a laptop around 11:30 a.m. from a house named Tibetge in Thinadhoo on 29 January 2014. Police had recovered the laptop on the day of the robbery and returned it to the owner.
