Fire breaks out at warehouse in Hulhumale

A warehouse constructed from tin, located near Hulhumale’ Pre-School, has been damaged in a fire that broke out this afternoon.

The initial efforts to control the fire were carried out by HDC, which were soon joined by Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). It was extinguished at around 4:45 p.m.

Sun Online understands the warehouse is located on private land at Hulhumale’ Youth Centre.

Sun Online reporter at the scene, Mohamed Shaan, said that items stored in the warehouse, including electrical cables, plastic chairs and tools, were completely destroyed in the incident.
