Four arrested for murder of youth stabbed near Adi Park

Police have arrested four individuals in connection to the stabbing and subsequent murder of Mohamed Mazin near Henveyru Adi Park, Male’ on the morning of 2 August.

The suspects, three 19-year-olds and a 22-year-old, were arrested under a court warrant in a special operation, and the Criminal Court has remanded them for a period of 10 days, the police have said.

Ahmed Mazin, 20, from Noonu Miladhoo was stabbed 11 times while standing near Adi Park with a friend on Saturday morning. Mazin died on Saturday night at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
