PPM Spokesperson Mahloof resigns

Ahmed Mahloof, Spokesperson for the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), has resigned from his post today.

Mahloof, also the MP for Galolhu-South constituency, said in a Twitter message posted around 5:00 p.m. today: “I have resigned as PPM’s spokesperson. I resigned on request by PPM.”

Mahloof also resigned from the spokesperson position during the lead-up to the Presidential election in June last year, but was reinstated in July 2013.
