Brazil showing some nerves ahead of Chile match

BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil (AP) — The possibility of elimination at the World Cup is making the tournament hosts a bit more nervous than usual ahead of Saturday's second-round match against Chile.

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari admits the "thought of not winning and not advancing" crosses his mind, and says it's normal for his team to be "a bit more scared and nervous" going into its first knockout game.

He says that it's perfectly possible that Chile plays better than Brazil and eliminates the hosts at the Mineirao Stadium, and that something like that shouldn't be considered the end of the world.

Captain Thiago Silva said that it's important to remember that the other team has the "same dreams" as the Brazilian team, and that if Brazil fails to get through, "life must go on."
