President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa has concluded his state visit to the Maldives.
Spokesperson at President’s Office Ibrahim Muaz Ali told Sun Online that President Rajapaksa departed from Maldives at around noon today, and that he was seen off at the airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon, Minister at President’s Office Mohamed Hussain Shareef, and senior government officials.
The President and First Lady of Sri Lanka are scheduled to visit Seychelles after the Maldives.
Three important agreements were signed between the governments of Maldives and Sri Lanka during the visit. They are the MoU on Health Cooperation, the MoU on Strengthening Cooperation between Board of Investment of Sri Lanka and Ministry of Economic Development of Maldives, and the agreement for Arrangement on Search and Rescue.
