Two arrested with drugs worth over MVR 900,000

Police on Monday arrested two individuals with drugs of over MVR 900,000 ($58,000) in value.

Police media official said two local men of ages 48 and 31 were arrested near the Hulhule' airport ferry arrival area in Male' with the drugs in their possession, as they arrived in the capital on Monday evening.

Police also obtained court warrants and inspected the apartments of the suspects on Monday which revealed papers regarding the smuggle of drugs via airplane to Maldives, the media official said.
