Drug dealers arrested in Male

Police arrested four local dealers with drugs of over MVR 480,000 in street value, following a search of Ma. Vaadhooge in Male’ on Sunday.

Police said the suspects were three men of ages 52, 50, 26 and one 23-year-old woman. The 26-year-old man has an existing record of narcotics.

The drugs were discovered in 5 small plastic bags from the room where the suspects were arrested, according to the police.

Maldives Police Service Drug Enforcement Department is investigating the case.
