Government invites JP for meeting on Economic Zone Bill

A meeting is under way at Muleeaage between government officials and members of Jumhooree Party (JP), which recently left the government coalition.

The meeting is attended by Leader of JP Gasim Ibrahim, JP member Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, and several MPs of JP.

This is the first time Gasim participates in a discussion initiated by the government since JP disaffiliated from the government coalition.

The meeting is not attended by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

Deputy Parliamentary Group Leader of JP Abdulla Riyaz, who arrived at Muleeaage moments ago, told Sun Online that they were invited to attend a presentation on the Special Economic Zone Bill.
