First wife of former President Nasir, Aishath Zubair, dies

Al-Nabeela Aishath Zubair (Thuththu Dhon Goma), H. Sosunge, first wife of former President Ibrahim Nasir, has passed away.

Thuththu Dhon Goma died at the age of 91 at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) this evening.

Thuththu Dhon Goma and former President Nasir got married in 1950. They had a son, Ahmed Nasir. She also had a daughter, Sausan Luthfy, from another marriage.

Thuththu Dhon Goma is survived by her two children and five grandchildren.

Her funeral prayer will be held at New Cemetery (Aa Sahara) Mosque at 11:30 p.m.
