President condemns attacks on three former ministers and Maaz Saleem

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has condemned the attacks on Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Council Member Ahmed Saleem (Maaz Saleem), Former Home and Finance Minister Mohamed Shihab, former Home Minister Hassan Afeef, and former Youth Minister Hassan Latheef.

The President, who is currently in L. Atoll, strongly condemned these attacks and posted on Twitter twice.

“Sorry to hear that three former ministers were also victims of attacks last night. None of this is cool. Strongly condemn such actions.”

Police are investigating the forced entry, assault and damage to items at Maaz Saleem’s residence. Police also said that the attack on Shihab had been reported, and they are investigating that as well.
