Sun Online has been appointed the official online partner for Maldives Travel Awards 2014, the biggest and most prestigious tourism award show held in Maldives.
Awards will be presented in 23 categories at this event, which was introduced in 2012 by Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO). This includes aviation and transport, resort, hotels, guest houses, wellness, live boards, diving and surfing.
The event was first held at Paradise Island and Spa Resort in 2012, followed by Olhuveli Beach and Spa Resort in 2013.
Executive Director of High Rise, the event manager for Maldives Travel Awards 2014, Moosa Izmeel has announced that this year’s function will be held on 21 November at Kurumba Maldives.
The main sponsor of Maldives Travel Awards 2014 is Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, while its co-sponsors are Island Insurance, Philips (State Trading Organisation), The Hawks, and Flyme.
Associate partners for the event are White Shade and TMA, and media partners are Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), Sun Online, Asian Geographic Passport, Asian Diver, Scuba Diver Australia, Floating Asia, and Visiting Guide. Its beverage partners are Bonaqua and Coca Cola, while its technology partner is Semicolon.
High Rise said that the deadline for participating in the event is 15 May.
