ADK Hospital offers bone density scans to 10 thalassemia patients per year

ADK Hospital has announced its decision to offer 10 bone density scans to thalassemia patients every year.

This was announced by Managing Director of ADK Ahmed Affaal at a session held today to provide information on programs organised by the hospital on the occasion of Thalassemia Day.

He said that the scans, which cost about MVR 800 each and are required by thalassemia patients every two years, will be conducted by ADK in collaboration with Thalassemia Society.

President of Thalassemia Society Jeehan Saleem said that the scans would facilitate better health for thalassemia patients and thanked ADK for offering them gratis.

Jeehan said that the society will ensure that the program is conducted in a transparent and fair manner.

At the function, ADK also handed over cheques for the bone density scans to Thalassemia Society.
