The President’s Office has announced vacancy for one member in the Board of Directors of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
The position has been vacant since the resignation of Abbas Adil Riza, who is now the government spokesperson.
Applications for this position are welcome until 8 April 2012.
MIRA Board of Directors is made up of seven members, appointed by the President and approved by the Parliament.
Article 4 (d) of the Tax Administration Act states that the Board of Directors shall consist of a total of seven members, and Article 4 (e) of the Tax Administration Act states that the members of the Board shall be appointed by the President of the Republic of Maldives with the approval of the People’s Majlis.
