Police seek Hondaidhoo suspect Jadulla Jameel

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has been ordered to produce Jadulla Jameel, General Manager of Alidhoo Resort, to the court, under custody.

Jadulla is charged with possession of alcohol, following his arrest from Haa Dhaalu Hondiadhoo along with two MPs and several others in November 2012. He was also charged with refusing to provide urine samples to the authorities over the same incident.

Criminal Court said that the order to arrest Jadulla was prompted by several failed attempts to deliver his summons, which he has refused to accept.

In an announcement today, MPS has appealed for public assistance to locate Jadulla Jameel. Police have asked the public to contact 3322111, the MPS hotline or 9991442, MPS custodial department with information regarding the whereabouts of Jadulla Jameel.
