200 searched, 50 arrested in Anbaraa for

About 200 people have been searched and 50 arrested in Vaavu Anbaraa, an uninhabited island, for ‘partying’ and using drugs.

Sources have told Sun Online that police visited Anbaraa in an operation last night, during which they searched about 200 people and took about 50 people under arrest.

The group went to Anbaraa for a ‘festival’ during which they used powder drugs.

Police have said that they did not wish to comment on this incident just yet.

Sun Online understands that the police arrested the people who had drugs on their person. This includes several women.

They will be taken to Male’ later today.
