Passenger dies on-board flight that departed from Maldives

A young girl has died on a flight that departed from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) this afternoon, causing the flight to return to the airport.

Police said that an Aeroflot A-320 flight that departed from INIA at 11:50 a.m., and landed at the airport following the death at 1:30 p.m. The body of the 13-year-old girl from Tajikistan has been taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The cause of her death is yet undetermined.
