Two locals arrested with drugs, alcohol in Male

Police have arrested two individuals with drugs and alcohol following an inspection of a house, Aathari in Maafannu, Male’, on Monday night.

Police entered M. Aathari with a court warrant around 9:10 p.m. and seized 3 bullet-sized packets containing a substance suspected to be drugs, seven bottles of King Robert Whiskey, twelve empty bottles of the same brand, four empty bottles of Kiprinski Vodka, a large amount of money, along with materials used for packing of drugs for sale.

Two local men, aged 18 and 27 years were arrested from M. Aathari in connection to the confiscated contraband.

Police Drug Enforcement Department is investigating the case.
