Man found dead in Maafannu house

A local man has been found dead inside a house in Maafaanu, Male’ today.

Sun is aware that the body of Ali Naseem, 51, was discovered on the 7th floor of M. Ahigas. Sources from the house said that the body had started to decompose, suggesting that Naseem died a few days ago. Naseem is resident of M. Ahigas.

Police Media Official confirmed that they have been notified of the incident, but did not provide details.

A sister of the deceased told Sun that Ali Naseem was found dead on his bed this morning, after a search of the apartment, prompted over several failed attempts to contact him over the past few days.

“Our brother usually eats from family apartments in the building and from cafés outside. He lives alone. We checked today, after we did not seen him for about two days, and he was dead,” Ali Naseem’s sister told Sun.

Ali Naseem has been ill for the past few days and has a history of lung conditions, said the family.
